This Silver Acacia (also known as silver wattle) is a tree species native to South Eastern Australia. The wattle is characteristic for growing at a fast rate, which makes it the perfect source for timber products. In South Africa, it is an invasive species that need eradication, which is just one more reason for it to be used for timber.
The Acacia timber can be used to produce furniture and indoor fittings. At Kayreed, our 300 x 2 x 0.4 rolls of Silver Acacia edging is a rich medium or dark brown with fine black streaking.
